GF: Rudolf Alfred Scherf
scherfdesign was founded in 1996 in Cologne, Germany, starting out with digital footwear design. Today, its four employees' create products in areas ranging from lifestyle, sports and safety to automotives parts. Then as now, scherfdesign´s focus in the design and development process of products lies on function, innovation and aesthetics - without loosing sight of tradition nor the ecological and economic aspects.
Marketing and target group oriented design concepts are developed and realised in cooperation with clients, as well as with scherfdesign many years of experience in the fields of manufacturing and finishing techniques. Alongside many other projects, scherfdesign´s portfolio features digital product development with Alias-from the development stage of the design to the first visualisation of the models, produced with the in-house rapid prototyping machine, up to the fine-tuned tool data.
Accompanied by the in-house advertising and design agency Kölledesign communication devices are developed in close syncronisation to the productdesign and marketing – from corporate design and print-, media-products, up to fair appearance.
